Life in pink

Last weekend finally I’ve got the Piaf- La Vie en Rose movie on DVD. Unfortunately I couldn’t see it at cinema so I was very ruffled with full of expectations. I can tell, I am not disappointed at all. The film biography is about the French singer icon, Edith Piaf directed by Olivier Dahan. I knew some of her music of course, but to be honest I didn’t know much about her life before. The film shows the most important moments of her tragic life in mosaic disposal from her deplorable childhood until her death-bed with full of emotions and beautiful songs. But the film wouldn’t be worth for mentioning without the title-heroin. The soul of the movie squarely is Marion Cottillard the young talented French actress (you could see her in the taxi movie as well). For her marvellous transformation she definitely merited the Oscar. If you haven’t heard about the film yet, check the link of the trailer below and enjoy.

I think I know the movie. Last summer a friend of mine invited me to watch it in a cinema in Forth Worth. I said no. Then a month ago another friend of mine invited me again to watch it here in Pécs. And I said no again. But for the third time I won't...

That's a wonderful movie, it's one of my favourites. Its scenes are beautiful, and Marion's acting is great. I'm glad she won the Oscar, she deserved it.
