Night Walk

Notation

Late night, I could hear the echoes of my shoes, tapping on a paving stone in the silent downtown. I was in a hurry from the antique cafe to a bus-stop. The last bus to the suburb was nearly caught, I could still saw the malicious tail-lights of it, taking a corner. The mild night was so refreshing and beckoning for taking a walk. The cafe made me ware. I put on some music. The events of the day suddenly disappeared from my head, giving place to the smells and colours of the spring night. Dawn seemed far right there, but I didn’t mind. The Moon followed me on my way back home.

Surprises

Do you know what happened with me last night? How incredibly empty and silent were the streets in the downtown! Where did I go? I was in a hurry to catch the bus, but guess what! Of course I missed it, it was so unbelievable, I could see its lights! The bus was winding in the cross-roads! Can you imagine I didn’t mind it that much? While I was concentrating on not being late, I didn’t realize how refreshing and wonderful the weather was. You would never believe the different soft scents of trees and lights you can enjoy late night! Later, I found something in my bag! That was the only thing I need for my journey! It was my I-pod stuffed with music! And then I discovered a guide joined me! Guess who? The Moon!

Dream

I felt so stressed and nervous. I remember everything was dark and shady, I was running in the empty streets, listening the knocking of my shoes. I couldn’t move on and this put me in a paddy. It was like a slow motion. Suddenly I appeared in the bus-stop. The bus was far away, it was sneering like one of those nerve-racking cartoons from the kid’s channel’s program. Then a mood was changed, everything became so peaceful, it was spring with blooming trees. I felt myself floaty, I was walking. The smells were dazzling; I heard music coming from somewhere. I looked up and I saw the moon winked and told me that just took my time; the sun was still sleeping fast.

Precision

On Saturday, the 5th April in 2008 at 11:48p.m., I was walking fast 120 metres in the downtown. I was in a hurry to catch the 15 metres long, red, blue and white Mercedes bus of the 24-line. I reached the 6th bus-stop of the line at 11:55p.m., the bus departed at 11:54p.m. I decided to take the 30 minutes long journey on my 2 foot. The 5dl coffee I drunk made me 100 percent awake. I put on my music; I chose the 3rd song on the list. The temperature was 10 C°, wind blew was 6mph, pressure 1016mb, the relative humidity 33 percent. I looked up and I saw the Moon 384000 km far away.

Hesitation

I’m not sure about the story; I cannot really remember the details of it. When and where it happened exactly? Was it in the morning, afternoon or night; winter or summer, maybe spring in the city-centre or the suburb? I went out somewhere. It was a public place with lot of people; in a restaurant or pub? In a party? In a cafe? I wanted to take an underground, or not, maybe it was a tram, perhaps bus. The point was that I missed it. Was I furious? Maybe It was fine for me because I could call a taxi in the rain. But I can imagine that the weather could be pleasure as well, so in this case I could go home on foot. I remember that something was in the air, something magical. Maybe it was a fresh snow rustle under my feet, or the lights of the stars, perhaps the spring trees in bloom. I was watching something up on the sky. Was it a bird? Rainbow? Solar eclipse? The Moon? Was I alone?

The Free Dictionary

Today I would like to share with you a great invention. I have to note that this is not my discover, friend of mine has showed me recently (Thank you Mon Amie M.). What I am writing about is an online dictionary with lot of extra entertaining gadget. You can play Hangman or with a Spelling Bee, Matching up synonym words. For the esoteric fans, there is a horoscope every day. My favorite option is the Word of the Day where you can find a new word day by day for building your vocabulary.(Today is the: "hellion" means troublesome person...good to know!) What else I can tell you about it, well I think the best if I give you the link and you can roam the site yourself. Have fun!

Life in pink

Last weekend finally I’ve got the Piaf- La Vie en Rose movie on DVD. Unfortunately I couldn’t see it at cinema so I was very ruffled with full of expectations. I can tell, I am not disappointed at all. The film biography is about the French singer icon, Edith Piaf directed by Olivier Dahan. I knew some of her music of course, but to be honest I didn’t know much about her life before. The film shows the most important moments of her tragic life in mosaic disposal from her deplorable childhood until her death-bed with full of emotions and beautiful songs. But the film wouldn’t be worth for mentioning without the title-heroin. The soul of the movie squarely is Marion Cottillard the young talented French actress (you could see her in the taxi movie as well). For her marvellous transformation she definitely merited the Oscar. If you haven’t heard about the film yet, check the link of the trailer below and enjoy.

Time Travel

Time passes rapidly...an old man would say that with a sigh. How often do we think back to our childhood? Do we think about it at all? What would be if you had a chance to turn back the time for a couple of hours? It can happen.

I was standing on the bus station in the morning as usual, waiting for the autobus to take me back to Pécs. But something happened, something unexpected which broke my daily routine, and it made the magic started that time. The bus broke down somewhere before it had reached the station. There was no other way to leave the city before the afternoon. The morning seminar was definitely missed.

I went back home with a new alternative plan for the day. First, the idea was weird that finally, I would end up in another educational establishment. I set forth to visit my Mom on her workplace. Thirty minutes later, I was standing in an empty hall of the building, listening to children shout and laugh from everywhere, the atmosphere amazed me right away. I hadn’t been in the Nursery for ages.

Children took me in their world after a few minutes I stepped through the threshold of the room. I had to assess there is not such a big distinction between the original plan (University) and the new destination (Day-care). Let me explain. We were sowing wheat seeds in a huge tile to find out, what will happen with them. It is like an agriculture endeavour during the botany seminar. Birthday celebration was made with cake and singing, just like surprise birthday party in dormitory with food, drink and music. We were drawing with pencils surrounded by the Easter-Spring-eggy-bunny decoration as art tutorial class, making sketch, playing tig outside, in the garden, running for catching each other, felt like in a sports faculty for extra 2 credits. I realized only vivid colours, sunshine, tiny new friends and full of life around me, but I had to grow up again as quickly as I had become a child before.

On my way back home, I felt something heavy in my pocket. It was a nice yellow stone,a magic rock, a present I’ve got. I started to laugh, after an idea came in my mind: what if someone asks me about the new piece of my stone-collection...’I’ve got from my new nursery-mate today in the kindergarten!’
